Spent most of the day thinking and putting together an order for Spruce. I did finally decide to install the cable controls. I had already put in the carb heat cable. The red one beside it is the cabin heat control.
I decided to use a vernier mixture control. They are not that much more expesive, if you don't buy a certified one. The paperwork doubles the price for exactly the same cable. I realize that you don't lean very often, but if whenever I do, I want to do it well. I think I would have preferred to have it where cabin heat is, but there was interference underneath.
Started on several other things including final attachment of my instument pod. I am short a number of 3/4" adel clamps (hence the order for Spruce).
I accidentally turned on my avionics as a I was pulling the panel out. I have the backup battery wired in and it powered up the screen. I have nothing programed so it just sat there and flashed "inop" everywhere, but it was cool. Maybe I will sit down with the manual and start programing while I wait for parts.
