Brief Description:  Wiring, Alt Air Box Misc.

Another day spent on the ship with seemingly very little accomplished. I started by trying to get the floor installed permanently. This required cleaning up the wiring and getting the wires secured. Photo 1 shows a riveted bracket with an Adel Clamp holding the main wiring harness. It also shows the battery cables coming through a hole on the copilot side. The Transponder and Comm antenna wires also go through this hole.

I attempted to separate the antenna wires from each other and from the other wires. You can see one of the spacers I made on the antenna wires. These are a tie wrap with a length of hose between the wires.

The holes were lined with a product that I forget the name of. It snaps on and gives a soft edge for the wires. I also have an Adel clamp holding the a orementioned spacers. This keeps the wires off the hole and separated from each other.

The way I made my pedestal I need some slack in the wires to allow the floor to go in and out. I have not decided what to do with the slack. I have a meeting scheduled with an EAA Tech Counselor tomorrow and will discuss it with him.

Installed the Alt Air Box. This is held in place with 2 Adel Clamps. Not sure if this is correct or not, but it is the only way I could see to do it. DO NOT LET THE CABLE SLIDE OUT MORE THAN 3.5" OR YOU WILL BE MAD. This warning is actually on the cable. If you pull the know to far a little ball bearing falls out and runs away. I did find it however, now I have to figure out how to put it back. Also need to figure out how to shorten the cable.
