Brief Description:  Install Plugs on Fuel Indicator and Oil Line Fitti

I found some really nice weatherproof, locking connectors at the auto parts store. They are replacements for GM and made by PICO. You can Google Pico Connectors and find their website. They use open barrel connectors crimped onto each wire after a silicone seal is slid onto the wire. Each one then clips securely into the connector.

I have been able to run most wires through heat shrink tubing as seen in the photos. I think this makes for a cleaner look, even if it is harder to modify.

In Photo 2 you can see the connector not quite plugged in. The green ribs in the middle slide into and seal the connection. You can also see on the bottom the ends of the seals around the wires. You can also see the clip that holds it all together. I don't know if this is up to aircraft code or not but it is way better than the typical male/female electrical connectors.

With this the gas tanks are ready to install after I install the bubble.

Started on the oil system. The last photo shows the 45 deg AN fittings that are the inlet and outlet for the oil cooler. I had to remove the EMAG in order to screw the top left fitting into place. No big deal even if I had had it timed. It takes about 1 minute to time the mags.

I also got the oil tank drilled and ready to mount.
