Brief Description:  Assemble Gas Tanks

Decided to get the gas tanks assembled in preparation for installing the fuel hoses. According to UPS they should arrive at the office tomorrow. I hope I bought all the right stuff.

The gas tanks are fairly straightforward. The fuel level sender needs to be shortened by using a tubing cutter. There is a tube inside it that will need to be cutoff also. In cutting the small tube with diagonal cutters, it closed up. It was a simple matter to squeeze it back open with a pair of needle nose pliers. There are several teflon (I think) donuts that keep the two tubes from touching each other. Put several on the end of the shortened inner tube. It was easy.

The sender comes with a low level alert but I did not run a wire for it. I don't know if it would show up on my MFD or not. After I get more familiar with it I might rewire. I also have a fuel flow gauge in addition to the capacitance gauges so I am not too worried.

I just noticed that the tanks cannot be installed until after the bubble is on. They will just be sitting there for a while, out of harms way.

I am starting to run out of parts.
