We had a dinner party last night, and knowing that everyone would want to see the ship, I decided to put it together. I had the guys at Oregon Aero build the seat cushions. I recommend them highly they are set up for virtually homebuilts and know better than I did what I needed. I will get them upholstered locally.
Making progress on the governor. After many emails with the factory and my electronics mentor in Canada I finally have the wiring finalized. It is a significant change from the original plan but it should work out just fine. The switch on my cyclic will activate a relay to put power to the governor. I will have an annuciator light that is ON whenever the gov is off.
Photo 2 shows the almost completed engine wiring. I was able to run everything, except thermocouples, through one penetration. I also ran the wires through shrink tubing, really cleans it up. The engine tach is driven off the pilot side mag while the gov is driven off the co-pilot side. Should allow for additional redundency.
I will take all 8 thermocouples through a single penetration near the first one.
