Brief Description:  Install Sheet Metal

Not much info in the manual about where the sheet metal goes, but not to hard to figure out. The most difficult piece is shown in the second Photo. It does not fit if made per the drawing. I suspect that the drawing is for an O-320 instead of the O360. I wound up a little to agressive in my trimming because it was impossible to put it in place and trace an outline. The cap can be filled easily with silicon caulk.

As with most things, don't try to tighten up any screws/bolts until they are all installed.

Although most of the 8-32 screws you need are included in the kit, there are many 1/4" x 20 x 3/4" bolts that will be needed. Since these are not structural I decided to use stainless steel bolts, nuts and washers. The BORG has a nice supply of these including large "fender washers" . I used the fender washers whereever they would fit.

I would have put it back on the vertical stand but I need to run the spark plug wires. Unfortunately the proper grommets were not included either with the kit or the engine. they are Aircraft Spruce part # M-7235 if memory serves me correctly. Should be here in a couple of days.
