Brief Description:  Interior Sheet Metal

Wasted most of the day trying to make a headset jack recepticle. Made the first attempt out of 2024 but my bend radiuses were too small so I developed a couple of cracks. Attempt #2 was 6061 T6 but I annealed it. The annealing makes it much easier to bend. Unfortunately it warped the material pretty badly, so no cigar.

I checked at Aircraft Spruce and Chief Aircraft. Chief had one stamped out of aluminum with 4 hole sfor $19, it is on the way.

Did some final fitting on the headboard and the seat backs, making sure the holes all aligned nicely. Also cut the hole for the fuel cutoff handle. I decided to make an extension for the cutoff instead of recessing it. the extension is only about 2.5" long so I am not certain that it will need a support bushing. I will wait to see if it is needed. It won't be as easy as I thought however. The headboard and the extension are not at right angles. This means that I cannot make the bushing on the lathe.

On my way to Flight Safety for a week for Initial on the Conquest II. Should be fun.
