1. Typically you would use a Q size drill for a 3/8 -28 thread. As it turns out the ID of the tubes is perfect the way it comes. No need to drill before tapping. I use the chuck to assure that the tap goes in straight. After it is started I power feed it in.
I also installed the last of the nut plates on the frame. While doing that I decided that I might as well install the ones for the Solenoid board and the VP-X. The Solenoids are mounted on a piece of plexiglas and the VP-X is mounted underneath.
