The factory provided a couple of pictures of where to put the battery. Under the passenger floor board. The new frames have several cross members under the floor so you have to work around them. To do this I put the floor in place and crawled underneath. I them proceeded to mark out the tubes with a Sharpie on the bottom of the floor sheet metal.
In the first picture you can see the outlines of the tubes. The supplied battery box is actually very nice, but it is a tight squeeze between the tubes. After careful layout I mounted it on my Bridgeport and milled out the opening with a 1/8" end mill. I wanted to use the cutout for the door.
The second picture is the door finished up and the last picture shows the door open and the battery box in place. The terminals on the battery face the rear of the ship. I am going to put a strap around the battery when I put it in place. To remove the battery I will grab the strap and tug.
