Decided to goof off and skip work. I spent much of the day making room for the arrival. I moved all of my woodworking tools to the Aztec Hanger and brought home the sheet metal brake that has been living in the hanger for years. Unfortunately it is a little rusty.
This thing is heavy, it has a 30" capacity. Because of space limitations I need all tools on rollers. I thought this might be a fun project. The stand is built out of 1 1/4" square 6061 aluminum tubing. All cuts were made on my Ridgid Miter saw with an old carbide tipped blade. This is the way to go on cutting Aluminum. It cuts a perfect angles and is fast.
Image 1 shows one side of the stand layed out on my table.
Image 2 shows where the casters bolt on. No smart ass comments on the welding. I used to be pretty good, but it has been a while.
Image 3 is the completed stand. Very sturdy and rolls easily.
