Completed the drilling in of the stick covers and rudder cable cover. Required some changes to the Rans plans. The slots around the sticks were used to locate the covers, and they are shifted about 3/16" to the pilots side. Must be the welded mounts were a little off, not unexpected in a welded tube fueselage. They were obviously in a jig because their center to center distance was right on. Still need to drill out to final size and put in nutplates and tinnerman nuts.
The two lower covers are still a mystery, not included in the plans but supplied with the kit. They are in the approximately right position in the photo on the right side. Will call Rans tomorrow and find out how they mount. Per the RansClan forum, they are a very recent addition to the kit and at last report, the installation details were not out. I looked.
