Worked on the flap handle. Quite an adventure. The parts page had four large 3/16 washers as spacers in the actuator. Put it together with them and discovered that it was too wide to fit in the fues. where there are mounts welded in. Did some measurements and found that with two washers as spacers, the flap controll farmes were the right distance apart. So rebuilt the thing with the right spacing requiring different bolts, and re- fabricated spacers.
Then, with the front mounting bolt was in, the rear bolt that goes thru a block that was welded in the fues. did not allign with the predrilled holes in the frame by about 1/3 hole. Reamed out the holesand finally got the thing in and working well.
Then went on the the fuel header tank mount. Drilled out the front mounting angle, one rivet refused to come out. Finally ground it off with the big grinder. New angle I fabricated fit with some adjustment of its angle of bend. Drilled it in and called it a frustrating day.
