Started to work on main gear leg mounting until I realized that the spacers were one of the five things on backorder. This also prevents me from doing the nose gear.
Went to the baggage compartment. Put the box together outside the aircraft with tape as directed and drilled the holes in the bottom as noted. Put it inside and tried to get it to fit. Realized that the forward bottom was wider than the opening at station 3. Took it out and measured, removed 3/8" from each side of the bottom tapering to 0" at the rear. Put it together again and it fit reasonably well. One weld cluster at the front kept it from going down far enough, so marked the box, removed and put in a relief for the weld. Put it back in and it fits well. Bent the tabs so they are in the correct allignment and am almost ready to drill and cleco.
