Truck arrived about 3 hours early with the 1190 lb box. Great driver, very helpful and funny. Dragged the box to the rear of the trailer with the borrowed forklift. Hooked it with the fork and dragged it out until it was on the dropdown tailgate and lowered to the ground. Picked it up and moved it into the RV entryway of the hanger and then dragged it into the hanger. First time on a fork, want a union card.
With five helpers from the airpark, ripped the top of the box off to be sure it was an airplane. Then cut the sides off about half way up and revmoved the sides towards the tail. Removed all the stuff we could including the fues lockdown blocks and piled them up in the hanger. Movd the fues back until the doors were clear of the remaining sides, removed them and then cleaned out the inside of the fues (cowling, etc. I ordered the firewall forward kit to save shipping). Four of us moved the fues out and set it upright. Cleaned out the rest of the box resulting in the mess shown in the third photo.
Living in an airpark is great, knowledge everywhere. Had several knowlegable fabric type people and the approved of what they saw. I am im[pressed about the quality of the stuff, it even appears that the ribs have been straightened and the edges of a couple of parts I looked at had been worked over and are ready to go.
