Brief Description:  On its feet, landing gear

Put the hoist on the motor mount with some ropes to spread the load and lift it evenly. Lifted up, first picture. Was very unstable until I raised the lift platform that would go high enough to suport the fues in this position. Did not't have to build a front support. Had to sand the power coat edge where it goes into the LG support slightly and then it went in very easily with some grease. Drilled the hole with a 7.9MM drill and put in the bolt. Did the other side and then put on the wheels and we were safe. Put on the nose gear with some difficulity in the allignment of a lower bolt, but it went in with a light hammer. Put the nose gear strut and motor mount shock adsorbers and found that the nose had to compressed a fair bit to get its bolt in.

Without the motor, there is weight on the tail, about 30 lbs or so. Put the hoist on the tail and lifted until the main wheels were slightly off the ground. At that point the bolt in the shock tower just barely fit, with a "bullet" to start it, made it in the end.

Did the adjustment of the nose fork tension and buttoned up all the nuts and bolts in the system. Lifted the main wheels slightly off the ground with the lift platform and started working on the main wheel nuts and getting the bearings right. More tomorrow.

The work I did yesterday fitting up all the bolts and getting everything organized made this a easy job. Seems like I remember it being a real pain in the -6A.
