Brief Description:  Mask cabin top and doors, prime

Masked off the interior of the cabin top for Zolatone. Did a couple of small patches with body filler, rest was done with micro earlier. Masked off the doors, sanded the rough spots down, the Zolatone should cover the minor imperfections.

Shot the door and cabin top interiors with gray epoxy primer. They came out smooth, but full of pinholes and other minor things. The first coat of Zolatone will cover them, one of the benefits of this stuff.

Although the primer said it was Ok to top coat it after 30 minutes, that would be with a compatible material. I am not too surethat the Zolatone is compatible with this primer, so I decided to wait until tomorrow to shoot the Zolatone. Put some Zolatone on a small test piece with some primer that dried for about 30 minutes. Sure would have hated to have to sand it off the complete cabin and door interiors. This stuff is tough when it dries. My test board resisted far more rubbing and scraping than it will get in real life. And that was after about 20 hours, the spec sheet says full strength is about a week. After testing decided not to use the catylast that is suppose to increase resistance to water, etc.
