Brief Description:  Put on tail, N number, insurance, DAR

Tightened the bolts on the fin. Put on the N numbers, makes it official, its an airplane.

Put on elevators and adjusted the trim tabs. Very odd the way they work, but they are set to the specs. Put in all bolts on the elevators. Put on rudder. Not nuts yet.

Called for an insurance quote and got it this P.M. About the amount expected, but requires 1 hour dual in a -10, hard to do. Sent an Email to the local guy who does checkouts in Vans aircraft to see if I can get in soon. The other insurance does not cover for the first 10 hours of flight.

Had my DAR in to look over the craft. He did an EAA Tech advisor checkout and we talked about the FAA. He will start the paperwork with them to see if they or he can do the final. Since he is two doors down from me, I prefer him! The FAA does not do many inspections any more.
