Wired up connectors in left wing root. Took misfitting tip off and put it on again. This time I lined up the trailing edge before putting in the screws near the T.E. It stayed lined up this time. Since it was perfect when put on before the nutplates, dimpling and countersinking, I thought it should be Ok. It is a matter of technique!
Put wings away until I get the replacement connectors.
Drilled holes for the 3 firewall penetrations for the engine cables. A lot of little screws, but very good fire protection. Mounted the two stainless vent controls using the fire sealant that came with them. Will put more on later. Without sealant it would not seal very well, the firewall is distorted and I suspect some of the hot tunnel issue was leakage past the outside of the vents.
