Finished the firewall section. The rivets on the rudder pedal brace are the worst on the airplane yet. You need an offset flush rivet set, a big offset. I drove them from the shop end with a very long offset back rivet set. Had to hit it about three times to get the rivet to start to set, then go in the firewall box with a very short rivet gun (air hammer) and drive the head back to flush. Then finish with the offset back rivet set and the heaviest bucking bar on the head.
Only drilled out one that I set too tight the first shot.
Will be adding to the yard irrigation system today and tomorrow, I hope. Will work some in the P.M. when it is too hot.
