Installed trim system. The bushings in the stab are a tight fit for the cable ends. Should use 3/4 instead of 5/8. If I were doing it again (?) would call up Vans and ask why they couldn't be enlarged. Got them in and hooked up the trim tabs. Used clecos to hold the brackets in the elevator.
First try I had about half the required nose up trim. Had to adjust the rod ends to the max and still was not enough. Moved the brackets towards the end of the threaded portion (Van's says put them in the middle) and then got the almost the 35 degrees down on both tabs. Since this is not for flying yet, it is good enough.
Removed the trim system and shortened the cables at the servo end some. Should make the final adjustment easier in the end.
Removed the stab, deburred the holes. Deburred holes in the tailcone and cleaned out all the trimmings. Had to file clearance for the trim cables.
Put everything alongside the quick build wings and cleaned up the shop. Tomorrow clean up the tailcone kit shipping box and fill it with fues. parts.
