Started the day a 7:00am by trimming the front rudder skin and drilling the skins. Key here was to keep the Rudder Ribs straight and use plenty of Clecos. After assembly of the compete rudder using Clecos I then disassembled and deburred all the parts or the rudder. Once the deburring process was complete the internal metal to metal Rudder parts were given a Zinc Chromate coating and the rudder skins weres reassembled with the Clecos. The skin riveting started working from the middle out and replacing the Clecos as I went. I completed my rudder build at 11:00am said my goodbyes to the fellow builders. I put my rudder in the back seat or the car and after a quick fill up and snack I was one my way home.. What a wonderful experience the Rudder Workshop was I gaind a lot of comfort that I could indeed fulfill my goal of building an airplane.
