Brief Description: Horiz Stab, Rudder, and Engine Mount
Good follow-on day. Finished shrinking both horizontal stabilizers. Started the rudder, which required some dis-assembly of previously connected control surfaces. But not too much of a hassle. That'll dry till next weekend, when I can hopefully complete shrinking it.
In the margins of the rudder covering, I kept moving forward on the engine mount. About 60% complete, I think. The instructions for this are a little dodgy compared to the rest of the kit, since this isn't the original intended engine. That one was a Rotax 582, but I have opted for the additional horsepower, and four-cycle config, of a Rotax 912. My hope is to eventually put the plane on floats, so the extra horsepower will be welcome.
