Tested electrical soldering. In all research, electrical soldering with heat shrink wrap seems to be most robust electrical connection, provided they are straight runs. The relatively long soldered joint does not bend well around corners.
Given that my joint would be in a straight conduit run, I elected to go with the soldered connection for the landing lights.

Second landing light went in pretty fast after learning on the fist one. The first one didn't take that long.
