Hi, I'm Tony Dexter, thanks for dropping by my site. I'm British and a Royal Air Force aerosystems engineering officer currently working in Saudi Arabia on the Eurofighter (Typhoon) project for the Royal Saudi Air Force. Started life in the RAF as an airframe/propulsion apprentice34 years ago but haven't picked up a riveting gun for over 25 years!! Kids are grown up and working so dad can now indulge himself - a Van's RV7A is some indulgence!!
Not onlly have I yet to get my pilot's licence, also don't have a garage, so a few challenges ahead!! Got a big kitchen and a closet/storeroom though, which will have to do!!
Anyway, feel free to contact me for a chat or if you spot any mistakes as I won't be able to get the kit signed offby the PFA until I return it to the UK - the PFA have been superb and given me the go ahead to build the aircraft out here, as long as I keep detailed records, but are not able to inspect it until I return it to UK.
Me.
Empennage laid out and organised into main assemblies.
The Assembly Hanager!! Note the ashtray, might keep a log of how many ciagarettes smoked during build!
