After clecoing the front spar reinforcement angle (HS710) and the splice angle (HS714) the front spar channels (HS702), the holes inboard of the HS404/405 attachement holes were match-drilled (pic 1). HS 714 was marked up for tapering (pic 2) and the finished article is at pic 3. I had to extend the taper to the relief holes in HS714 due to some pretty deep milling scores on both ends, have sent the pics to Van's to see if this is acceptable.
Note: Van's replied first thing US time - that's 3 hours 'flash to bang'!!! Nice one. joe at Van's says everything is fine as long as the thickness hasn't been reduced, which it hasn't.
