Brief Description:  Alt Encoder Wiring

I created the pigtail adapter that will attach into the EFIS so I didn't have to cut the wiring harness that Eric made up for the IFF to mate into a 'standard' encoder. I borrowed a few pins and a nice crimper from Norm for that. That guy has been such a valuable resource through this second phase of the project!

I also started work on the blocks and wiring harness mess up under the dash. What a pain in the ass to work up under there, so glad that deck comes off for the majority of the time. The big struggle now willl be to consolidate the harness mess up under there and make it look nice. I know no one will ever see it, but I'll know it's there and the subsequent maint will be so much easier.

It seems like a lot of time for not a lot of progress. I guess that's the phase I'm in now. True I talked to Charla for a bit of it, but I had the Bluetooth thing going so I was moving around.

I've set some goals for myself today. The instrument panel will be done by the end of May. The engine will be done by the end of June. The tail will get covered in July (remember I'm taking two weeks of leave in July), the wings will be covered by the end of August, September is paint month, and Oct is mere overflow month. Those are some ambitious goals and perhaps not attainable, but they are there. The other issue is that I have to annual the Glasair in August...I'm trying to talk Norm into help with that. How great would it be to be able to annual the plane in the hangar under his supervision? He seemed open to the idea especially since he's needing cash for his RV-9!
