Brief Description:  Lots of Misc Work today

Lots of work...most of it centered around the pushrods..they are all now complete. The ailerons and flaps were a pain in the ass to get them all to line up. Lots of back and forth and I think I got it. When the ailerons lined up at the wingtips, and the flaps lined up with the ailerons, the flaps were no where near symmetrical. Long story short the flaps themselves were warped. I will have to ensure the unwarping I did yesterday translates to the covering process. I'm almost thinking that the final shrinking will be done on the plane to ensure my whole trailing edge lines up.

I also tried to get the spades to work...no go. It turns out the aft mount for the tip floats is a conflict for them. I'm thinking I may move the aileron control horn outboard a touch to clear that. Right now the original counterbalance is on there.

I riveted the flap motor in place.

I installed the aft jury strut mounts in the wing. I cannot find the -32 eyelets that are supposed to be included for the forward mounts

I also spent a bit of time cleaning and consolidating. I'm tired of digging for things (like the 1" plastic saddles), so I decided to put all that crap into a big zip lock. I'm also preparing to start covering, so I needed to make some room.

Finally I hauled all the covering materials in from the trailer. It looks like a rather comprehensive collection.
