At least half the day went into prepping the white for paint. For example I got the right pylon side fit, and both pylon support brackets in after much constrination.
Then we went into the painting. Ug, what a pain in teh ass. Mike suggested we leave the hangar door open...yup, everything is covered in shit that blew in. Additionally, we put it on so heavy that every single piece has runs in it. The only bad, fabric covered piece, is the aileron. I'll sand that out, hit it with white when I get home from NYC and then wait a few days before hitting it with the black trim. What a pain! I think I'll do the rest of the painting. The book is right.
Jim was over for a big portion of the day as well. I was alone for the first 5 hours, then the guys were helping
