Brief Description:  Cushion clamp blocks

I installed the wood blocks up under the dash that the cushion clamps will mount to. That should allow me to walk into it tomorrow and secure those clamps up under there and get moving on physically mounting things like the lower sub-panel.

I guess the week lay-off in Chicago has hurt my plan to work work work on the plane, but man it was great to get up there and cut loose a bunch. I needed it, Kelly needed it, Brian needed it, and above all, Charla AND I needed it. We had a very stressful month leading up to the trip, but as soon as we saw one another it was like nothing had trasnpired. I guess the Thunderbird application process took more out of both of us than we thought. Truth be told, I really think I was the one that was the most stressed out. As it turns out, her cool cucumber approach must have worked. We found out today that no-shit, Charla is Thunderbird number nine for the '08-'09 show season. My god, what an amazing woman that I am so lucky to know and be 'involved' with.

I also spent a lot of time working on the BMA EFIS issue. I have identified the weak point, I just can't fix it, and I'm concerned now that I've screwed something more up. I found one connector that just didn't seem to be working quite right and by flexing it, I can get the entire unit to turn on. While I had the bottom panel off, I misconnected two connectors and had some orange light and smoke from one of the semi-conuctors in there. Shit, if it isn't one thing, it's another. Now I need to send the unit in for sure. The good news, if there is such a thing is that the unit still doesn't work properly, so it had to go in anyway. Dang, if it's not one thing, it's another.
