After drilling/deburring/dimpling the fuselage skin, the holes were drilled into the plexiglass and the whole business clecoed in place. I cut strips of aluminum to fit the skin contour on the inside of the rear canopy. They will even the stress of the screws and nuts when the canopy is installed.
