I spent some time over the past two days making headway on the turtledeck. I was able to drill all holes up to the rear tube frame up to their final size, and trim the edges to their final 10mm edge distance. (I actually gave it 12mm for good measure.) The area forward of the second tube frame still has me really concerned. I'll definitely be bending a new tube to fit it, and even then will be working for a while to get that area nice and smooth. In the picture below you can see the daylight between the tube frame and the skin. This will be another kinda crazy week, so don't look for much progress.
