I'm knocking things off my list this morning. I completed the cable outlet fairleads and fairings. Pretty straightforward. I ended up having to remake my torque tube bearings. After I received the tubing and test-fitted it, I found out that my 1-1/8" hole saw is slightly bigger than specified. Only by about 30/1000's, but that's enough to introduce quite a bit of slop into the fit of the torque tube. I re-made the parts and cut the hole with an 1- 1/16" hole saw and opened it up slightly by sticking a small drum sander in the drill press and going round and round - removing tiny bits until the fit was perfect - no slop and not too tight. The list continues, but I feel good getting these things done that have been hanging over my head for a while. Just as a matter of interest, this is my 300th log entry. Since my "anniversary" date is around November 1st, it looks like I do about 100 "logged" days a year. I actually do something almost ever day - just sometimes don't log it. Wow. Three years of building.
