Brief Description: Baggage Floor Trimming and Supports
For a long time I've been wondering how I was ever going to trim the baggage floor properly and get the fit I was looking for. Well, it turned out to be no big deal. After squaring everything up and setting the correct fuselage width, I placed the big, square sheet on top of the fuselage - supported by a couple of 3/4" sticks I use to support and hold things down. I traced around the bottom of the fuselage and got the outline. Then, I measured the width of the seat back and decreased the outline with the shears in small increments until I got the proper shape with that front measurement. It fits like a glove. No gaps or spaces between the floor and the sides - exactly what I wanted. Sorry for the cat picture, I just couldn't resist. The cat was totally asleep in the driveway while I was doing all of this. I was laughing so hard I don't know how I ever got the picture without waking her up.
