Brief Description: Pedal Bearings, Console Side Panels, & Gussets
I'm still making parts! I'm working through more .025 parts. Most of what is left of those is large pieces of skin/turtledeck stuff. Looks like I may need to order one or two more sheets from Aircraft Spruce to finish up the plane. I switched things up a little and made a couple of extruded parts - the pedal bearings. Very soon I'll be making those thicker parts. I plan to do most of the rough blank cutting on my table saw. It's got an 80-tooth carbide blade that I've used to cut bar stock and thicker stuff. You just have to be REALLY careful. The blade can catch and throw a sharp piece of metal with enough force to literally kill you. I usually sandwich the metal between two pieces of 1/8" plywood and use the rip fence to rip the long axis. Don't ever crosscut like this - very dangerous.
