I got my hands on a copy of Kent White's video on chromemoly airframe construction and have viewed it a couple of times. Very informal, but informative video. Highly recommended if you're going to try to do any of your own welding. I was able to fabricate this set of rudder pedals in a little over an hour, and this having never cut a piece of 4130 tubing in my life (of course they're not welded yet.) I need to get some tubing for the stop rings and some plate for the cable attachments, but this is the basic set right here. I'm going to be practicing my welding for a few hours before I attempt this, but I'm reasonably confident I can make it happen.
