I finsihed up the leading edge this morning. I'm very happy with the way it turned out. Using the 3-piece-skin method was a piece of cake. Being able to work with 3 smaller pieces instead of one mammoth one seems like the way to do it to me. At this poijnt, preliminary construction on the main part of the wing is complete. I still have the wing tip to do, trimming the inboard skins, control surfaces, and placement of the wing tanks. My plan is to complete the wing tip, then disassemble, deburr, and prime the remaining parts that need it, then reassemble the wing and fit the tanks and control surfaces. Even if you don't take breaks like I've been doing, there's a lot of work in the wings. Included is the obligatory shot of my shop cat who's apparantly much less excited about my progress than I am.
