After a hellish stretch at work, I finally got some "hanger time" today. I was able to finish up another portion of the nose skinning. It's going extremely well with all dimensions coming out right on the money. All edge distances are right where they ought to be, and it looks great. Next I'll fasten down the last piece of skin and start placing the wing tank. I've ordered cork from McMaster Carr, and my wing tips should be arrivinf any day now from ZAC. Things are finally coming together, and it looks like I may be finishing up this wing in the next couple of weeks. With things slowing down a bit at work, hopefully I'll have more time to get this puppy behind me. Then it's ANOTHER WING! It's all good though. I learned a lot about sequencing with this one, and there are a few little details I might attack differently, although this has gone very smoothly. Part of the reason I may have not had any trouble is that there's been some time between build days, so I have time to work things out in my head before surging ahead and making a mistake. Maybe my slow pace is a blessing in disguise!
