Brief Description: Fabrication of Small Wing Parts
I spent the rest of the afternoon making up small parts and taking care of some of the details of wing building. I made up my aileron stops from .040 using my bending brake, then fabricated some little standoffs for my conduit run through the wing. I copied this idea from Scott Laughlin - thanks Scott. I made these out of .025. Finally, I tackled cutting the bellcrank access door. I got to use my least favorite tool - the flycutter. Once again I was able to cheat death with that thing while cutting the holes. I finished off the straight portions of the cut with a small cutoff wheel on the Dremel tool. While it doesn't look like I got much done today, I was able to make some progress on little projects that have been hanging around a while. How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time.
