Holy Cow. I finished forming ribs today. Amazing. I actually got quite good at making them - a skill that will serve me well on the next airplane too I suppose. Seriously, I'm very pleased with the forming of all of the wing ribs. Next step will be to cut lightening holes in rib sets 5-8. That's 8 ribs total - 32 holes. Piece of cake. After that, I'll bend up some standard "L" angle and rivet stiffeners to ribs 1-4, and bellcrank goodies to rib 7. With that, I'll have begun work on wing #1 - the right one. I can't believe I'm actually starting construction of the wings soon after many months of fabricating sub-assemblies. Like William Wynne says - "persistence pays."
