Brief Description:  Wing Rib Form Blocks

I decided to go ahead and knock all of the rib blocks out at once since I'm getting all tooled up to work on them. I used spray adhesive to mount them on MDF, then used the band saw to cut very close to the final line. A quick final sanding will get the edges exactly where I need them. From there, I'll bevel the edges about 10 degrees for springback and rout a 1/8" radius on them. Lots of work in these. The drive belt on my bench sander broke, so I had to order a new one (online, of course). If you have a bench sander, check the tension of the drive belt. Mine is a cogged belt, and it was too loose and wore the cogs off - eventually snapping the belt. If you're going to scratch-build, spend the money and get yourself a good band saw, drill press, and bench sander. You'll use every one of these tools almost every day. While I'm waiting for the belt, I'm working on some small parts like the bellcrank support brackets and the aileron stops.
