After a nice long break to concentrate on the boat, I'm back to working on the airplane project. I'm working on completing all of the wing rib form blocks right now. At this point, I have 5 of the 9 left to finish. Making the blocks is a very labor-intensive and time-consuming process. It's not bad work, but plan on spending some time getting things right. After the blocks are made, making the ribs is a fairly straightforward affair. After about an hours' work, the drive belt on my sander broke, causing me to stop and find a replacement belt online. I ordered that, and it should be here in 3 or 4 days. Until then, I'm working on the bellcrank support brackets and other small wing parts to keep me moving forward. It feels good to be working on the plane again! Pics to follow.
