Brief Description:  Left Spar Corrosion Protection and Assembly

Took lots of time today polishing my spar caps and applying corrosion protection. After allowing a few hours drying time, I assembled the parts for final riveting. I'm excited about the prospect of these being done. I understand that the spars are about $800 from the factory - plus truck shipping. They require a high degree of precision, so I understand why. Scratchbuilding them has been a good challenge, but totally do-able. If I had to guess, I'd say I've got about $60-$75 bucks in each one (if that much). That's not counting my time of course. Just goes to show you how much you can save by scratchbuilding if you're not working on a limited time frame.
