Brief Description: First-stage Completion of Left Spar
I managed to finish up the construction phase of the left spar today. This means that all parts are clecoed in place where they should be, and all holes are drilled to their final size. Next, I'll disassemble the entire thing, deburr both sides of every hole, polish the caps, and apply corrosion protection. In a couple of days, my second wing spar will be finished! The next step will be to establish the wing dihedral and drill the bolt holes for attachment to the center spar. Then I'm going to build my fuel tanks. I'm purposefully going to build the tanks before building the wing so I don't have to stop in the middle of wing construction, clear off the table, build the tanks, then put everything back on the table and continue. The tanks will be finished and waiting for installation as I build the wing.
