Brief Description:  Protection and Riveting of Right Main Spar

I've spent several hours over the last few days polishing the spar caps, applying corrosion protection, and starting to rivet the right main spar. The riveting is going really well. The combination of the rivet gun and the arbor to hold it in place makes it a reasonably easy job. The main thing I have to watch out for is that everything is nice and level so that no bow is introduced into the spar, and that the rivet is seated firmly in the cup before using the gun. After each rivet, I hammer against the stacked spar cap (using a wood block) to make sure that the pieces are drawn together and the rivet is seated in the cup. This makes it a slow process, but the results are excellent, and I'm not in a hurry. After finishing the top row of -6 rivets, I sighted down the spar and it was perfectly straight. Cool.
