Spent some time drilling out the smaller A4 rivets around the center section of the elevator and replacing them with A5's. Also removed the thinner .063 horns to be replaced with horns fabricated of .090. The elevator seems to be taking a really long time, but it just happens to be what I'm working on during the switch to the new version (HD to XL). Thanks goodness I hadn't gotten much further here or I would have had a lot more to fix. I'll be ordering the trim servo and piano hinge from Aircraft Spruce next week to finish up the rear stabilizer. I'm still on the fence about adding the fiberglass tail tips. They're purely cosmetic, and will add weight (and a little more expense) so I'm not sure if I want to add them. I'll probably put the decision off until I can attend some fly-ins and see others planes in person.
