It's been a while since my last entry, but it doesn't mean I haven't been working. I was deployed for 10 days on a wildfire in eastern NC, followed up by a week-long visit from my Texas extended family. I still have managed to sneak in an hour here and there. What I've been working on is the cabin floor. There's nothing particularly difficult about this section, but there are a LOT of intersecting lines and "no rivet" areas to be considered. There are a couple of places where I drilled an unnecessary hole, or am going to have to be a little creative, but I will eventually get it all worked out - no serious issues. Soon I'll be drilling these to final size and deburring and applying corrosion protection. I think I'm going to go with protecting mating surfaces, but leaving the interior its natural aluminum.
