Brief Description: Simple Parts Fabrication & Hardware
I finally ordered all of the remaining nuts, bolts, washers, and cotter pins it should take to finish my plane. There's still some miscellaneous cable hardware and things to be ordered, but this just about does it. It's now all sorted and boxed up waiting for assembly. I cut out a few more simple parts. With the exception of the bulkheads and a few more goodies, I'm beginning to wrap up part fabrication. I ordered some .020 for my upper fuselage skins after talking to Scott Laughlin about this. He's using .020 instead of the specified .016 too. I never have had good luck with .016. It's very flimsey and easily damaged, so I went the next size up.Tiny gain in weight, but huge gain in strength and rigidity.
