Brief Description: Fuel Tank Mounting/Fuel Door Fabrication
After I returned from my work trip, I couldn't wait to get in the shop and start knocking out the last bits of my left wing. I had previously prepared the tank skin, so all I needed to do was put cork strips on the tank in the right places and secure the skin. The whole process probably took less than an hour. The remaining time I worked on my fuel door. This is Scott Laughlin's idea that works really well, but requires a bit of careful fabrication and making things up on the fly. It took me a while, but I like the results - a really classy-looking flush-fitting fuel door.
