I have a consultation with an oral surgeon today to have an impacted wisdom tooth removed, so I'm taking the day off. Since my appointment isn't until this afternoon I decided to knock out a few details on the plane this morning. I riveted nose ribs 4-7 in place, then riveted the top wingtip angle. After that I trimmed and fogged the outboard leading edge skin so I can install it next. I trimmed the leading edge skin with the Olfa knife. I've found that the snips leave a wavy edge that looks horrible, so any edge that's going to show gets the Olfa treatment. Just as a builders note, I've realized that building an airplane from scratch is like playing chess - you always need to be contemplating your next move.
