Spent some time finishing up the wing skinning and fabricating this LRI probe mounting bracket. Scott Laughlin was good enough to send me some pics of his installation, and I used them as a guide. The probe will be mounted at 25% of the wing chord at rib #6 on my left wing - just outboard of the pitot/static tube to keep a lot of the plumbing running through the same conduit. From everything I've read, a good starting point for adjustment of the probe is about 50 degrees - which is what this one is set to now before installation. FYI - 25% of the wing chord at rib #6 is reasonably close to the main spar - about 100mm or so aft of it if I remember correctly. This turned out well. I'm happy with it.
